On May 22, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade reviewed the issue of anti-dumping measures applied to imports of cucumbers and tomatoes from Turkey.
Following the review, no decision was made to revise or cancel the anti-dumping measures. The measures therefore remain in force.
Over the past several weeks, the issue has involved active communication among representatives of the greenhouse sector, профильні lawyers, business associations, Members of Parliament, and government authorities.
As part of its cooperation with representatives of the Ukrainian greenhouse sector, GR Consulting Ukraine coordinated the GR and communication efforts related to this matter, including interaction with government authorities, Members of Parliament, sector-specific legal advisors, and market participants.
The issue extended far beyond vegetable imports alone. For manufacturing businesses, it is also about the predictability of state trade policy, especially during wartime, when companies continue operating in Ukraine, investing in production, paying taxes, and preserving jobs.
At the same time, the matter is not over. The Turkish side may continue pursuing this issue within the framework of the official interim review procedure of the anti-dumping measures.
Therefore, issues related to the protection of Ukrainian producers, trade policy, and long-term rules for businesses will remain highly relevant going forward.
